The building site is located in the city centre near Aegidientorplatz. The decisive criterion for the design was the requirement for open-plan organisation. The open-plan rooms are arranged around the central core with toilets, ancillary rooms, lifts and staircase. Mushroom pillars support hexagonal ceiling panels which, when added together, form a rigid slab and transfer the wind forces to the core. The shape of the floor plans and the relief structure of the façades are based on this organisational and construction principle. The main building, the extension and the round tower as a link with the break rooms and the escape staircase form an open courtyard with the main entrances. The ground floor of the tower is free of installations, so that a passage to the rear street is possible. All service, supply and special departments are located on the ground floor and first floor, with the canteen kitchen and shops for rent on the ground floor and the canteen on the first floor, which - like a public café on the roof of the garage ramp - opens onto a terrace. The management offices are located on the top floor, surrounded by roof terraces.
