Design Office tower Senckenberganlage

The building site is located on the edge of a disorganised urban square, which is intersected by a busy arterial road. The high-rise building design is related to this arterial road in its layout and design: the emergency staircase stands as a point de vue in its almost two kilometre long, unbroken axis, to which the two angled buildings of different heights are connected with glazed bridges: their shape corresponds to the directions of the roads branching off here. The building is planned as a steel skeleton construction with steel ceilings and curtain walls. The cores were to absorb the wind forces in conjunction with the emergency staircase made of reinforced concrete.
